RAID PAVIA – VENEZIA

There’s a speed competition for wave riders,
running from Pavia to Venezia, 413 km total on rivers and lagoon.
They started it in 1952 and it’s meant for speed boats, motor catamarans, off-shore..
A long history for this (not-gondolas) boat competition
(and check on line the lovely poster they did in the 50s and the 60s).
The poster features that awesome man called San Todaro,
who stands on one of the two columns in San Marco square.
